Chinese Translator

I guess I should introduce myself. Hi, I’m Wenhui. I’ve been a translator for around half a year now helping Grenn out with translations of ‘Poisoning the World: The Secret Service Mysterious Doctor is a Young Beastly Wife’ but I quit because I was finding the main character’s luck to be depressingly abysmal as well as school butting in. I’m also helping Grenn with the translation of ‘Bone Painting Coroner’.

So I just started this website all for the sake of this one book I’m going to be translating, “Side Character Transmigrations : The Final Boss is No Joke”. I absolutely love the main character to bits and I wanted to share her with more people so I decided to translate this novel from its original language, Chinese. Anyone who wants to help pitch in can contact me using this form, ATTN: Wenhui.

The last daily release will be on Friday, 13th October 2017. After that I will release chapters on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

1) Which SCT character is your favorite?

Shi Sheng, duh… *drools as she peeks at Shi Sheng, hoping not to get caught by Feng Ci*

2) If you were to transmigrate in one of SCT’s worlds, which one would it be and what role would you play?

Mmmh. Since I’ve read the whole book, I think my answer would be a spoiler so… not telling!

3) What’s your team like?

I’m a workaholic? Pfft no… it’s only because I treat translating as a pastime that I translate so much. All the technical stuff and polishing up, I leave to the rest. So… I’m lazy. They’re awesome for being patient enough to go through my lazy mess.

4) Do you have any planned projects after SCT?

Maybe the next book by the author? Then again, maybe not… Too much slang. There is one book I’ve had my eye on. It’s around a hundred chapters but we’ll see if I haven’t burned out by then.

5) Do you have a message for your readers?

…Please don’t listen to the MTL readers/trolls. The ML is 1 person! 1 person! 1 person!!!

    Are you okay? Another group seems to be translating ‘Side Character Transmigrations’ (nowhere near as good as you did, kinda MTL-ish), and I wondered if you’d dropped it or something came up to put it on hiatus (if so I’ll wait as long as it takes for a good translation of the novel, just need to know that it’ll eventually come).

    Quick share me your writing tips. I absolutely love how savage this writing skill of either yours or the authors is. Its fun to read and you can actually tell a person's emotions without giving them much to speak of.

      I-I'm just translating the text in a way English speakers wouldn't feel like they're reading MTL...? Honestly though, I haven't written a composition in ages so if the story was enjoyable, that's on the author. I just make little tweaks here and there when I think the references she makes wouldn't be as funny in English.

    Read the PTW at volare before but it was dropped and pick up by MBC/Alyschu site...(no wonder your name is familiar.. ) anyway.. love this current translation of yours. I hope this will not be dropped. This is from Yunqi , right? not from Qidian? since Webnovel is stopping or censoring those translation sites that translate the novels from their site
